The Cathedral is the city's main Catholic church. Its current structure dates back to the mid-19th century, standing out for its imposing neoclassical facade and a silver-clad high altar, a true work of sacred art. The Cultural Center of the Republic, located in the Cabildo, is the former legislative building (an elegant palace with colonial arches and yellow tones).
